WA Status Saver helps users view and manage temporary status images and videos from messaging apps that store them locally on the device.

We do not collect, store, or share any personal or sensitive data.

The app may request the following permissions for its core features:

Media Access

The app accesses media files stored in hidden folders on your device. This is only to allow you to:

View temporary status updates that are stored locally
Save selected statuses to your gallery

All access is local to your device — nothing is uploaded or transmitted.

Scoped Storage (Android 10+)

For devices using Android 10 or higher, the app uses Scoped Storage or the system folder picker to access media folders. This ensures secure and restricted access to user files.

All Files Access (Android 11+)

Due to security policy updates of Android 11 and above, for advanced access to custom or cloned messaging apps. we may request "All Files Access" permission to allow status saving from non-standard paths. This is only to locate statuses; we do not collect or upload anything.

Notification Permission

The app may request permission to send you notifications about newly found statuses. These notifications are only triggered locally on your device and are used to improve user experience by alerting you when new content becomes available.

Granting this permission is optional and only affects local alert behavior. We do not collect any notification interaction data.

2. How We Use Your Information

Read media files from hidden local folders
Display images and videos inside the app
Allow saving selected files to your gallery
Track saved items using local storage (not synced online)

3. No Internet Data Collection

WA Status Saver works fully offline. It does not upload, collect, or transmit any data to our servers.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

This app uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect non-personal identifiers such as:

Device type and OS version
Ad click and impression data
General location for ad relevance

If you’re in the EU or UK, the app may ask for your consent before showing personalized ads (GDPR compliance).

This app does not target children and does not knowingly collect data from users under 13 years old.
